Up for sale I have a nice condition Sony PlayStation (Revision SCPH-5501 / PU18) with the following work done:
– PixelFX RetroGEM “Shiny Edition” HDMI Mod. This is the premium version of the digital out HDMI mod capable of outputting up to 1440P with advanced scanline and processing features.
– X-Station ODE. Replaces the original optical drive with a PCB and SD cart slot, allowing you to boot to a menu and load the SD card up with games to run faster, quieter than a stock system!
– Lidswitch mod. This is wired up to the RetroGEM to allow you do control the lid status from the controller in the OSD, making multi-disc games much easier to navigate!
– 3D printed SD card mount with SD Extender. This kit from LaserBear gives you a quality 3D printed mount to offer a professional finish/look to the system tray and make it easy to access the SD card!
– All capacitors have been replaced with high quality SMD/TH caps from Console5.com, this includes every capacitor on the mainboard as well as the PSU. This should guarantee a long reliable future life for the system
– System and controller have been deep cleaned inside and out to remove dust, debris and residue from circuit boards, RF shielding and plastic shell/components
*Screenshots posted in the image gallery were captured from this PS1 via HDMI into my Avermedia LGP2 device, at 1080P/sharp/4.5 integer scale with no shaders or post processing effects. It should give an idea on what to expect for quality but keep in mind the capture device introduces quite a bit of visual noise and the image you will see in person will be cleaner!
NOTE: Any photos showing the X-Station loaded with games is for DEMO purposes only, and for testing (aka soak test of the RetroGEM), you will NOT be receiving an SD card and will be responsible for providing one yourself. I am happy to point you to the correct page for configuring your own card, tips about loading games on it, etc. NO GAMES COME WITH THIS SYSTEM!
