Up for sale I have a refurbished and re-shelled Nintendo 64 (NUS-CPU-05) with the following work/mods done:
– PixelFX RetroGEM Shiny HDMI Mod
– TroggTech custom blue shell with “Ultra 64” emblem and region free cart slot to allow the playback of USA and Japan NTSC carts
– All capacitors have been replaced with high quality caps from Console5.com
– New Arctic MX Thermal Pads Installed on all 3 heatsinks
– White Power LED Installed
– System has been deep cleaned to remove dust, debris and residue from circuit boards, RF shielding and plastic shell/components
Comes with:
– Base console unit inside TroggTech shell w/ OEM Expansion Pak ( no AV cables, PSU or controller )
NOTES:
Screenshots of the HDMI output were taken using a standard MiniHDMI cable into a RetroTink4K and Elgato4KX. The stock multiout port still works with composite and s-video
CONDITION:
This N64 was salvaged and in rough shape originally. RF shielding required extensive cleaning, mainboard had 1 damaged trace to a capacitor that has been professionally repaired with bodge wire and UV Resin coat. This was saved from an HDMI mod attempt that resulted in the VDP chip pins being knocked out of alignment, all pins were safely bent to original location and all legs reflowed before new HDMI flex installed. Internally there had also been some minor heat damage/melting on the left controller port enclosure and the power slide switch, both restored to the best of my ability, purely cosmetic but not noticeable from outside of the console. All that being said, this console has been put through the same rigorous burn in testing all my other pre-mods have and has been restored to perfect working condition
