This is a customizable order form for the Neo-Geo AES and the various services offered. Please note that all options listed are for service only, requiring you to ship not only the console but the mod/upgrade parts you have purchased yourself (with exception to RGB Bypass and Full Recap Services as I will provide new capacitors/resistors from Console5)
RGB Bypass Mod
While earlier revisions of the NeoGeo AES output high quality RGB, some later revisions have issues with checkerboarding and jailbars. In particular if you want the best possible RGB output and limit potential sync issues with modern upscalers like the Retrotink5X, an RGB bypass mod is recommended. This procedure varies depending on the AES revision you have but involves the removal of several capacitors and installation of 150ohm resistors. I will provide the new resistors and wires/heatshrink in the cost of the service
Unibios 4.0 Install
Want to add some great features to your AES model Neo-Geo? The Unibios will give you the flexibility to easily swap between all three regions and both the MVS and AES versions of games. Play Metal Slug with blood enabled or have access to the uncensored fatalities in Samurai Shodown V Special, along with over 1,500 other cheats! Additional features include Pick N Mix for supported multi-rom carts and a jukebox feature to listen to all your favorite Neo Geo themes. The Unibios kit I offer install services for includes a socket that will allow easy swapping to future versions of Unibios as well as reverting back to the stock NeoGeo bios. I will return your original bios chip with the console for your keeping for this purpose.
Socketed Unibios 4.0 kits can be purchased from the following websites:

Full System Recap
Electrolytic Capacitors have an estimated shelf life of about 15 years and many of these old retro gaming systems are long past that time. Prevent unwanted power, video or audio issues by proactively replacing these in your NEO-GEO system. If your NEO-GEO is already exhibiting issues a failed capacitor could be the culprit and is usually a good first step in the diagnosis and repair. All capacitors will be replaced on the system motherboard with a cap kit from Console5 which I will provide for this service, included in the cost
LED Mod
By default the AES lacks any sort of power LED indicator to know when the system is on. Because it uses passive cooling and is completely silent it can be easy to accidentally leave the system running without knowing, one of the benefits of adding a colored LED mod. Besides that it just looks cool! This service includes the installation of an LED into the top reset button along with the LED itself, wire, resistor, etc.
When adding this to your order please add a note describing what color LED you would prefer and I will do my best to get that for you!
Full Service Cleaning
After years of heavy use many consoles will exhibit accumulation of dirt, dust and debris and this can not only impact the aesthetic appearance of the system but dirty system components can impact component life and performance. Your console will be completely disassembled and cleaned from the inside out. All PCB and internal electrical components will have dust and debris removed via an electronic air compressor and then be cleaned with 99% isopropyl alcohol and brushed clean. Outer shell and other non-electronic components will be taken apart and soaked in a soap/water mixture and carefully scrubbed to remove stains and debris buildup. Any light markings, scuffs or other blemishes will be safely removed to the best of my ability. Once the console is re-assembled the outer shell will be given a coat of plastic UV protectant to restore shine and prevent UV damage
